Chris “Gunny” Eskridge
Chris "Gunny" Eskridge's journey began when he immigrated from Canada and joined the United States Marine Corps in February 1998. During his distinguished 15-year, 8-month military career, his service took him across the globe, touching every continent except Antarctica. His deployments included service aboard the U.S.S. BonHomme Richard with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (2001) and the U.S.S. Duluth with the 15th MEU (2004-2005). His combat experience spans three deployments to Iraq (2003-2007), and he later served in Afghanistan as the Lead Law Enforcement Professional for CJTF Paladin (2010-2011), earning the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his contributions.
After transitioning from military service, Chris pursued higher education, earning his BA in History. While building a career in the motorcycle industry, he underwent Cognitive Therapy to address his PTSD symptoms. This personal experience revealed the complexities of navigating veteran benefits and seeking mental health support, inspiring a new mission in his life.
Today, Chris dedicates himself to supporting fellow veterans, first responders, and their families. He helps them navigate the extensive network of available benefits and programs, serving not just as a guide but as a trusted friend who understands their journey firsthand.
