Nicole Manning, AMFT
Nicole is a bilingual (Spanish) therapist who provides individual therapy to law enforcement, military, and responders, their families who are ready to address the unique challenges and impact of the responder profession on their lives and relationships. Having worked in law enforcement for 25yrs - first patrol and undercover before becoming a Sergeant, Nicole is deeply aware of police-related issues such as administrative betrayal, the weight of daily calls, and stigma around seeking mental health. Nicole offers empathy and compassion, while also being direct to help clients stay true to themselves and the process.
Nicole believes a therapist's role is to create a safe, supportive environment while maintaining a balance of empathy and a direct, no-nonsense approach and humor. Nicole listens closely, challenges clients to stay true to the process, and ensures they are actively engaged in their own healing.
Nicole believes in leveraging existing strengths while learning new coping strategies, particularly for those grappling with the effects of trauma. She assists clients in finding a renewed sense of purpose, even if that purpose starts with simply getting out of bed each day.
