Taylor Brown, ASW

Taylor is a culturally competent therapist with a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate life transitions, manage anxiety, depression, and heal from trauma. Taylor deeply understands how mental health challenges can impact various areas of life, making daily living more difficult. That’s why she is dedicated to helping clients gain control over their symptoms, so they can feel more empowered and content in their lives.

Taylor views the therapist's role as facilitating a safe and healing space where clients can express themselves while working collaboratively to overcome life's challenges. She considers the whole person—not only their internal struggles but also the social symbols that shape how they experience the world. She believes in being culturally competent and listening to clients, acknowledging them as the experts of their own experiences. By holding space with empathy, she holds her clients accountable in their recovery journey while supporting them with compassion and understanding.

Taylor holds a Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University with a minor in Counseling and Social Change, as well as a Master of Social Work from Walden University. She has worked across diverse settings and populations, including children with autism as a registered behavior technician, adults in inpatient mental health facilities, and juvenile youth, helping them in individual therapy to expunge their criminal records.

Taylor’s work focuses on individuals, young adults, youth, college-aged individuals, and BIPOC populations. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, BIPOC-related issues, women’s issues, relationship-based challenges, and trauma. She utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based approaches, and Mindfulness to tailor her approach to each client. By looking into a client’s past to understand how it affects the present, she helps clients overcome their obstacles and move towards healing.
